"Dead Man"

Dead Man
(1995, 121 min., 35 mm)
Director: Jim Jarmusch
Actors: Johnny Depp and Gary Farmer

Dead Man is the story of a journey, both physical and spiritual, into unfamiliar terrain. A young man named William Blake travels to the extreme western frontiers of America in the late nineteenth century. Lost and badly wounded, he encounters a Native American named Nobody, who believes him to be the dead English poet of the same name. The odd, outcast Nobody serves as Blake's guide through situations that are in turn comical and violent.
