"I saw my first movies when I was very young and it was
just something that was very fascinating to me. My main interest
at the time was to be an actress but eventually I felt the power
of motion picture making was in back of the camera, not in front
of the camera. I decided to make my voice known, through creating
motion pictures about our people. I think there is really no other
way to get our stories, our thoughts, and our purposes to a young
generation."
