Eddie Spears

Eddie SpearsEddie Spears (Lower Brule Sioux) has been acting since he was 10 years old, starting with his first role as Ishkiye in TNT's Geronimo. Most recently Spears appeared as Red Lance in TNT's Into the West with brother and fellow actor Michael Spears. The brothers also model Indigene by V.O., the new fashion line by Virgil Ortiz. In 2004, Spear's performance as Shane Chasing Horse in Hallmark Entertainment's Dreamkeeper won him the Best Actor Award from First Americans in the Arts. He also won the Best Actor award at the Phoenix Film Festival for his title role in Black Cloud, a film based on the life story of Navajo boxer Lowell Bahe. For the role, Spears trained for three months with the legendary boxing trainer Jimmy Gambina. Spears resides in South Dakota and when not acting, works as a mentor to youth in the area.
