Chiapas: Prayer for the Weavers
(1999, 34 min. Documentary) US
Producer: Judith Gleason
Director: Judith Gleason
Produced by: Women Make Movies for Tsobal Antezik (Women Together)
In Spanish and Tzotzil with English subtitles.

Mayan weavers gather at a festival which is also a somber day of recollection for the 45 people killed by paramilitaries in their village of Acteal. Interviews with the women provide a glimpse of the difficult conditions the indigenous people of Chiapas are living in today.
