"From Honey to Ashes"From Honey to Ashes
(2008, 47 min.) US/PARAGUAY
Director: Lucas Bessire
In Ayoreo and Spanish with English subtitles.

Threatened by ranchers moving in with bulldozers, an isolated group of indigenous people flees the forest. This video chronicles their journey to a new kind of life with more settled relatives, adjusting to a new identity as “Ayoreo Indians” and learning to survive in a world shaped by deforestation, NGO activity, anthropologists and evangelical Christianity.
