A moving portrait of Eugene "Gene Boy" (pronounced Genie Boy) Benedict, a Vietnam veteran who returns to the Odanak Indian Reserve near Montreal, Quebec, Canada, after years of self-imposed exile. Celebrated documentarian Alanis Obomsawin examines the tragedies of war through the story of Benedict's journey home.
