Itandehui Jansen

Itandehui JansenItandehui Jansen (Mixtec) is currently writing her first feature-length screenplay. Her filmmaking debut My Mother's Rebozo was produced with the financial support of the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research, as part of the research project "Mixtec City-States: Nature and Development of Indigenous Socio-Political Organization." My Mother's Rebozo, a film about Jansen's return to her hometown in Oaxaca, was developed at the documentary editing workshop of the Maurits Binger Film Institute in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Jansen works as a lecturer at the University of Utrecht, where she received an MFA in Literature. She was born in Oaxaca, Mexico.
