Johnny Moreno

Johnny MorenoJohnny Moreno is a filmmaker and event designer based in New York City. As a filmmaker he has created short narrative and experimental works. He is continues to work on music videos and documentary projects as well as write narrative scripts. Moreno is currently developing a documentary piece on 'Son Jarocho', and a feature documentary about Chekhov. He has worked for HBO Films and HBO Post Production. As an event designer he has designed projections for several theatrical productions in New York. He has worked On and Off-Broadway as a designer, assistant director, associate producer and press agent. Moreno has been touring with Lila Downs for over a year designing projections and providing video documentation.

"My main interest lies in narrative and documentary filmmaking. Writing scripts that are character driven and shooting images and stories that represent culture, society and political points of view. As a Mexican-American I have taken a particular interest in creating stories and characters that challenge race, thought, politics and prejudices."
