Gisèle Gordon has worked in the film community for over a decade: as a director, producer, story editor, programmer, and promoter. She recently directed and produced the feature-length documentary The Tunguska Project, filmed with Cree theatre director Floyd Favel, in Saskatchewan and Siberia. Since 1996, she has run the production company Urban Nation with Cree filmmaker and visual artist Kent Monkman. Their production Blood River, won the Best Film Award at the 2000 ImagineNATIVE Film Festival. A member of the board of directors for the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival and of Toronto's Images Festival, Gordon is currently curating a program of Canadian films for the 2004 Salekhard Northern Nomadic Film Festival, in Salekhard, Siberia.
